Mr Prakash Pandit (Founder-Chairman)
Visionary and dynamic entrepreneur Mr Prakash Pandit established JPF Metacast in 1981.
After graduating in science from Karnataka University (Dharwar), he worked for several MNCs, capably handling their Sales and Marketing function. Backed by adequate field exposure, he joined the family business Prakash Home Industries, which is engaged in the machine tools and sheet metal components business. He was later given the responsibility of casting procurement, machining, assembly, and testing in the company.
An entrepreneur hungry for growth, he established his own enterprise in 1981. He set up a foundry with a capacity of 50 tons per month, gradually scaling it up to reach the mark of 100 tons per month. Today, JPF Metacast has an installed capacity to produce high quality casting of 500 tons per month.
An astute entrepreneur and business leader, Prakash Pandit has been honored with the Business Tycoon Award from ASSOCHAM. A respected industrialist in Belgaum, he is the Founder-Director of Belgaum Foundry Cluster and an active member of various other industry associations.
Mr Gaurav Pandit (Executive Director)
A second generation entrepreneur, Gaurav Pandit is further building the business, carrying forward the legacy and strengthening the market goodwill.
A Diploma engineer, who later completed his BE (Production) from Pune University, Gaurav did his MBA with specialization in Family Business from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.
A progressive minded leader gifted with strong techno- commercial skills, he has been working closely and on ground with all the teams including Field Force, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Human Resources.
He has gained insightful and practically relevant knowledge of the Foundry industry over the last 12 years. He has also developed a repertoire of skills, including Business Optimization, Product Development, Identification of Areas for Continuous Improvement, Business Planning, and Business Strategy Development. Under his inspiring stewardship, the company has posted healthy year-on-year growth and has gained recognition in the global marketplace.
Gaurav is a Member of Belgaum Foundry Cluster and The Institute of Indian Foundrymen. Gifted with a broad social outlook, he is actively involved in various social and community development initiatives.
